CELPIP

Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is a recognized computer-delivered English language assessment tool. Since all components are completely computer-delivered in just one sitting, it offers a unique testing experience that requires no additional appointments. The computer-delivered Speaking component allows test candidates to demonstrate their English proficiency without the possible confounding effects associated with human interaction as used in other testing systems.

CELPIP uses the English variety as spoken in Canada. It is ideal for providing proof of English language proficiency for immigration to Canada, Canadian citizenship, employment, admission to various post-secondary programs, or for membership to various professional associations.

CELPIP consists of three proficiency tests: CELPIP-General, CELPIP-General LS and CELPIP-Academic.

*A revised version of the CELPIP-General Test and the CELPIP-General LS Test will come into effect at test sittings starting on April 1, 2014. The current version of the CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS Tests will be administered at test sittings until March 31, 2014.
